Cookie policy
What cookies Piccaso uses and why.
Last updated: April 17, 2026
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you use the product.
Piccaso uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data to third parties.
2. Essential cookies
These cookies are necessary for the service to function. They cannot be disabled.
Session cookie: keeps you authenticated while you use Piccaso. Expires when you close your browser or after a fixed idle timeout.
CSRF token: protects your account from cross-site request forgery attacks. Renewed on each authenticated session.
Theme preference: stores your chosen light or dark mode so it persists across visits. No personal data is stored.
3. Analytics cookies
We use Mixpanel to understand how the product is used — which features get adopted, where users drop off, and what to build next. Data is anonymised where possible and never tied back to individuals for advertising purposes.
Mixpanel may set a persistent cookie to identify a returning visitor across sessions. You can opt out of Mixpanel tracking by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser settings.
4. Third-party cookies
Some third-party services embedded in Piccaso (such as Stripe for payment processing) may set their own cookies governed by their respective privacy policies. Piccaso does not control these cookies.
We do not embed social media tracking pixels, retargeting scripts, or advertising networks on the Piccaso platform.
5. Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or clear cookies on a per-site basis.
Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from using Piccaso, as authentication relies on session cookies.
Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the product — it will only limit our ability to understand aggregate usage patterns.
6. Changes to this policy
If we introduce new cookies or materially change how we use existing ones, we will update this policy and notify users via email or an in-product notice.
